How to turn on your Smart Tag

Your SmartTag is a compact, powerful tracker for keys, bags, and anything else you don’t want to lose. Setup takes just a couple of minutes, and once connected, you’ll be able to locate your belongings right from the Find My app on your iPhone.

Step-by-step setup:

1. Turn on your SmartTag

   • Press the button until you hear the melody sound. This confirms the tag is active.

2. Open the Find My app

   • Go to: Items → Add Item → Other Supported Item.

3. Pair your SmartTag

   • Hold the SmartTag near your iPhone until it appears on screen.

4. Complete setup

   • Follow the on-screen prompts to name your item and finish setup.

Tips and troubleshooting

• Make sure your iPhone has Bluetooth turned on.

• If the tag does not appear, hold the button on your SmartTag again until you hear the melody, then retry.

• Ensure your SmartTag has enough battery power.

• If pairing fails, try restarting your iPhone and repeating the steps.

After setup

Once paired, your SmartTag will appear in the Find My app under “Items.” From there, you can:

• See its current or last known location.

• Play a sound to help you find it nearby.

• Enable notifications if you leave it behind.
